Francesc Montoro and Francisco Roig meet in high school. A friendship begins that, decades later, would shape Biamics.
2020Biamics founded in Amsterdam
After more than two decades of parallel scientific careers, they reconnect and found Biamics in Amsterdam (The Netherlands).
2024Headquarters in Zaragoza
Biamics relocates its headquarters to Zaragoza (Spain) to democratize bioinformatics and make it accessible to researchers, hospitals, and enterprises.

The Team
Francesc Montoro
Versatile bioinformatician with extensive experience across applied bioinformatics services and higher university education. After a decade building his scientific career abroad, he returned to Spain to continue his academic research and lead Biamics’ technical operations.
Dr. Francisco Roig
Specialist in bioinformatics and microbiology with extensive research accomplishments. Currently serving as Vice-Dean of Research for the Faculty of Health Sciences at Universidad San Jorge de Zaragoza, combining research leadership with the scientific direction of Biamics.
